Role Overview
The Maintenance Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing maintenance operations throughout the construction phase and post-construction period of a high-profile hospitality project. This role requires a strategic leader who can integrate maintenance planning into construction, manage a team, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for the complex.

Key Responsibilities

Project Collaboration: Work closely with the construction management team to integrate maintenance considerations into the construction plan.

Construction Phase Oversight: Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities during construction to meet project standards and deadlines.
\r\n
Maintenance Strategy Development: Establish and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance plans post-construction.
\r\n
Team Management: Lead a team of maintenance technicians, overseeing training, work schedules, and safety compliance.
\r\n
Facility Inspections: Conduct regular audits to identify maintenance needs and ensure adherence to building codes and safety standards.
\r\n
Contractor and Supplier Coordination: Manage procurement of maintenance supplies and services efficiently.
\r\n
Budget Management: Oversee the maintenance budget to optimise resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
\r\n
Sustainability Initiatives: Implement energy-saving and environmentally friendly maintenance practices.
\r\n
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed maintenance records and generate reports for management.
\r\n
CMMC Implementation: Establish and sustain a CMMS system for streamlined maintenance operations.

Reporting: Directly report to the Head of Engineering.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\r\n
\r\n
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
\r\n
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in maintenance management, preferably in construction or facilities management.
\r\n
Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, construction processes, and building maintenance.
\r\n
Industry Experience: Prior experience in hospitality operations is highly desirable.
\r\n
CMMS System: Familiarity with CMMS is an advantage.
\r\n
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage maintenance teams effectively.
\r\n
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
\r\n
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
\r\n
