Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Guidance and Outreach Team within the Legal Affairs Section.\n\t
Plan, coordinate, and implement annual guidance and outreach programmes to enhance awareness of AML/CFT obligations among subject persons.\n\t
Draft and maintain internal policies and procedures and ensure regular review.\n\t
Lead the development of AML/CFT studies, research papers, and training materials.\n\t
Represent the organisation in AML/CFT training seminars and events hosted by local and international stakeholders.\n\t
Manage the administration of Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives under the team’s remit.\n\t
Liaise with the Legal and International Relations Team to stay abreast of EU and international AML/CFT developments.\n\t
Monitor and disseminate relevant guidance, reports, and documentation from EU institutions, FATF, MONEYVAL, EGMONT and others.\n\t
Respond to queries from subject persons and internal departments and assist in interpreting AML/CFT requirements.\n\t
Maintain records and statistics related to outreach initiatives and training events.\n\t
Coordinate with competent authorities on joint AML/CFT outreach efforts and initiatives.\n\t
Support and participate in public education campaigns, university lectures, and research activities in the field of AML/CFT.\n\t
Assess and address internal training needs of the team, and support the development of internal training plans.\n\t
Guide and lead the team by setting targets, providing mentorship, and conducting regular performance reviews.\n\t
Assist in managing the Legal Affairs Section by coordinating operations and resources and acting as a liaison for internal and external communication.\n
\n \nRequirements:\n\n
\n\t
MQF Level 6 qualification in Law, Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Audit, Insurance or a related field.\n\t
Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior role.\n\t
Strong knowledge of Maltese and EU AML/CFT legislation and international standards.\n\t
Familiarity with financial services regulation and supervised sectors.\n\t
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Maltese or English.\n\t
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office automation tools.\n\t
Technical competence, leadership capability, and strong ethical values.\n\t
A pleasant personality and good moral character.\n\t
A Warrant to practice as an advocate in Malta will be considered an asset.\n
