Lead and manage the tax advisory and compliance team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all deliverables.\n\t

Oversee the preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns and other statutory filings. \n\t
Participate in provision of expert advice on tax planning strategies, risk management, and structuring opportunities. \n\t
Interpret and apply changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant and up to date. \n\t
Design and deliver training programs to enhance team technical capabilities and professional growth. \n\t

Develop, implement, and maintain tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.\n\t

Ensure robust documentation of tax positions, processes, and key decisions.\n\t
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Corporate) and external advisors to address any tax issues and support business initiatives. \n\t
Act as a subject matter expert to senior leadership on tax-related matters. \n\t
Represent the company in dealings with tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants. \n\t
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time. \n
\nRequirements:\n\n
\n\t
A University degree in Accounting, or equivalent professional qualification.\n\t
Further specialisation in taxation (e.g., Master’s in Tax, ADIT, MIT) is considered an asset.\n\t
Experience as a warranted accountant or solicitor specialising in taxation. \n\t
Proven track record in client relationship management. \n\t
Strong experience in direct and indirect tax work is highly valued. \n\t
Sound knowledge of the Income Tax Act and the VAT Act (Malta). \n\t
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n\t
Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting/tax software. \n\t
Excellent presentation skills, capable of engaging international audiences. \n\t
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n\t
Outstanding interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills. \n\t
Ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a team. \n\t
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. \n\t
