About This Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various Perkins engines and other equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and resolving them
- Assist in assembling and disassembling machinery and components as required
- Collaborate with our senior mechanic and other staff members
- Willingness to learn. All training will be provided on site
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A secondary level of education. Technical training in mechanics is an asset.
- Experience Level: Entry-level position; some previous experience in mechanical work, particularly in a marine setting, is a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of combustion engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Language Proficiency: Elementary proficiency in English and Maltese
- Personal Attributes: Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Driving License: A valid driving license is mandatory as the role may require occasional trips to purchase parts from various suppliers. Applicants with a C license will be given preference.
