Mechanic

Eurocem Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and repairing trucks, heavy plant machinery, and other equipment essential to our daily operations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on trucks, heavy plant machinery, and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend service life
• Diagnose mechanical faults and troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimise downtime
• Repair or replace defective parts and components using appropriate tools and techniques
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth and efficient operations
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as required
• Keep up to date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical systems

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably within an industrial, construction, or transport environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills in Maltese and/or English, with the ability to work effectively within a team
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in mechanics or a related field will be considered an asset
• Strong commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
