Role Overview
\n\n
This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations while providing exceptional support to employees. This position involves also acting as a key contact for payroll queries, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the successful candidate will oversee salary calculations, resolve payroll issues, and collaborate with HR to facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities

Salary Processing: Manage and ensure accurate and timely salary calculations for employees.
\n\t
Payroll Reporting: Compile and monitor monthly payroll reports, maintaining up-to-date data for review.
\n\t
Employee Support: Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding payslip queries and payroll concerns.
\n\t
Statutory Filings: Prepare and submit statutory filings (e.g., FS5, FS7) to ensure regulatory compliance.
\n\t
Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, collaborating with HR for seamless transitions.
\n\t
Internal Controls: Adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures to maintain robust internal controls.
\n\t
Database Management: Ensure payroll and HR databases are accurate and up-to-date.
\n\t
Discrepancy Resolution: Review timesheets, rosters, and wage computations to detect and reconcile discrepancies.
\n\t
Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed to support payroll and HR operations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years in a payroll department or a similar position.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English; knowledge of Maltese is advantageous.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Shireburn Indigo payroll software is preferred.
\n\t
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with employees and teams.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Professional demeanor with the ability to build rapport across departments.
\n\t
Organisation: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
