Role Overview \nThe Payroll Administrator will report directly to the HR Executive or HR Manager, supporting the day-to-day management of payroll and HR administrative functions. This role requires a detail-oriented and organised individual capable of handling payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and contributing to the recruitment and onboarding process. The position is ideal for someone with a background in human resources who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local employment regulations.
\n\t
Leave & Timesheet Management: Track leave balances, verify attendance records, and reconcile timesheets with accuracy and efficiency.
\n\t
Regulatory Compliance: Prepare statutory filings and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with legal obligations, including SSC and FSS reporting.
\n\t
HR Administration: Maintain employee performance records, support training initiatives, and assist with general HR tasks including recruitment coordination.
\n\t
Collaboration: Liaise with the finance and HR departments to ensure data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A certificate or diploma (MQF Level 5) in Employment Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
\n\t
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in payroll and HR administration, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities are essential for liaising with internal teams and employees.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency with payroll software (especially Shireburn Indigo), Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and HRIS tools.
\n\t
Organisation: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative and works effectively with minimal supervision.
\n\t
Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues and proposing solutions to enhance payroll accuracy and HR administration.
