About This Job

Health Direct Limited is a newly established company operating within the community pharmacy retail sector. Our mission is specifically targeted towards proactively enriching patients’ quality of life as well as to protect our community by providing for their varied health requirements through adept service provision, community centric guidance and awareness.

Given that, the position has arisen for an enthusiastic, open-minded and motivated PHARMACIST on a full-time basis willing to work afternoons.

The ideal candidate must be sales and customer oriented as well as possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Dispensing prescription medicines to the public, checking dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely supplied

• Keeping a register of controlled drugs & POM for legal and stock control purposes as required by law

• Ensuring adequate stock control

• Take a proactive initiative in offering appropriate advice on current medications, management of minor ailments, lifestyle adjustments as well as monitoring of biochemical parameters to ensure optimal patient care

• Keeping up-to-date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses

• Selling healthcare and other products, such as toiletries and cosmetics

• Handling POYC responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment

Qualifications, Experience & Key Skills:

• Be in possession of a Pharmacy Degree and registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of Malta

• Fluent in both Maltese and English language

• Previous experience as a Pharmacist within the retail community pharmacy sector shall be considered an asset (although not mandatory)

• Organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong Professional Ethics

• Smart Appearance

• Confident with a natural flair for sales

• Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision

An attractive remuneration package commensurate with experience will be offered to the selected candidate.
