About This Job

Health Direct Ltd. is a newly established company operating within the community pharmacy retail sector. With four pharmacies within the community pharmacy space, our mission is specifically targeted towards proactively enriching patients’ quality of life as well as to protect our community by providing for their varied health requirements through adept service provision, community centric guidance and awareness.

Given that, the position for an enthusiastic, open-minded and motivated PHARM TECH on a full-time basis has arisen. The ideal candidate must be sales and customer oriented as well as possess excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing administrative support to Managing Pharmacist with regards to; order processing, verifying orders, handling and organizing stock, filing, scheduling appointments and other miscellaneous pharmacy duties.
  • Assist Managing Pharmacist with the preparation of prescription medicines as well as with the provision of information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and general well-being.
  • Selling healthcare and other products, such as toiletries and cosmetics
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Helping the Managing Pharmacist to ensure adequate stock control
  • Keeping up-to-date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses
  • Updating and maintaining system information and records

Qualifications, Experience & Key Skills:

· Be in possession of a PharmTech Qualification (Advanced Diploma / Undergraduate Degree)

· Fluent in both Maltese and English language

· Previous experience within the retail community pharmacy sector shall be considered an asset (although not mandatory)

· Organizational skills and attention to detail

· Smart Appearance

· Confident with a natural flair for sales

· Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision

An attractive remuneration package commensurate with experience will be offered to the selected candidate.
