Planning Manager

Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd and Combino Pharm (Malta) Ltd form part of the Medichem group, a Spanish pharmaceutical organization which develops and manufactures both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.

Medichem specialises in active pharmaceutical ingredients, while Combino Pharm is focused on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products. The organization provides high quality medicinal substances and products for the worldwide market, with special emphasis on Europe and the US.

We are currently looking for a new team member to join Combino Pharm in Malta, for the following Planning Manager role:

Responsibilities and Functions:

· Plan and assist in ensuring that production personnel operate according to the production schedule whilst allocating the proper use of related equipment and machinery present in the manufacturing facility.

· Plan production on SAP / PPDS and clearly inform production and other departments of the plan.

· Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term manufacturing schedules using SAP PPDS or equivalent planning tools.

· Optimise utilisation of production resources, including personnel, equipment, manufacturing suites, and packaging lines.

· Balance customer demand, forecast requirements, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.

· Lead weekly planning meetings and communicate production priorities to all relevant departments.

· Identify capacity constraints and proactively develop mitigation plans.

· Act as planning lead during Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews, Site planning meetings, Customer prioritisation exercises.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve service levels and ensure all departments work towards common customer delivery objectives.

Requirements:

· Higher level of qualification – (Degree in Science/Statistics/STEM or similar).

· Minimum 3-5 years experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or pharmaceutical production.

· Ideally have experience working in a GMP environment but not strictly a requirement.

· Self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.

· Results oriented and will display an attitude that reflects our Company values.

· Able to work independently and in a team environment.

· Extremely organised.
