Role Overview

As a Plant Room Operator, you will be instrumental in upholding the operational effectiveness of the establishment's essential infrastructure, with a specific focus on boiler rooms and hot water provision. Your responsibilities will centre on ensuring the seamless functioning of these systems, thereby maintaining optimal comfort and safety standards for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain boiler rooms, HVAC systems, water supply apparatus, and other plant room equipment in accordance with established procedures.
\r\n
Routine Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular and thorough inspections of equipment, identify any malfunctions or defects, and proactively execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
\r\n
Breakdown Response and Repair: Respond swiftly and efficiently to equipment failures, accurately diagnose the root cause of faults, and carry out necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimise disruption.
\r\n
Collaboration and Compliance: Work closely with internal maintenance teams and external contractors to guarantee that all maintenance and repair work adheres to stringent safety and quality regulations.
\r\n
Regulatory Adherence: Strictly comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\r\n
\r\n
Education: Hold a technical Electrical or Mechanical qualification or have a good background in a relevant technical field.
\r\n
Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a comparable plant room operation role, ideally within the hospitality or commercial property sectors.
\r\n
Language Skills: Demonstrate an excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders. Proficiency in the Maltese language would be considered advantageous.

Communication Skills: Exhibit strong communication skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with team members, supervisors, and external parties.
\r\n
Interpersonal Skills: Display effective interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
