About This Job
The Platemaking Prepress Process Operative is a role that will enable the incumbent to pursue a career in the Platemaking as part of the Prepress department. Following formal training, the individual is expected to perform diligently all processes to enable optimum QCPSSP levels, including the discipline of ensuring a ubiquitous safe and secure working mentality and environment. The Platemaking Prepress Process Operative is expected to contribute personally or in an HPT to process troubleshooting and also in the interpretation of digital data to pre-empt nonconformity situations at a very early stage.
Responsibilities:
- Process RFT and Yield
- Process OTIF
- Follow rigorously taught procedures in platemaking, including those regarding safety, environment and security
- Participate in problem solving and root cause analysis
- Contribute to generation of cost saving ideas.
- Carries out AM tasks as per indicated schedule
- Update process documents in paper and electronic format.
Requirements:
- Microsoft ECDL
- Read/Write technical standard operating procedures
- Use of SPC tools and control plans
- Has an eye for detail and able to carry out high precision tasks under pressure and within a timely manner
- Quality awareness
- HSE and Security acumen
- Need to be able to manually lift 25kg load where necessary and according to HSE best practice
- Frequenting MCAST Institute Diploma in Applied Science or equivalent
