We are looking for a highly skilled Pre-Spray Preparator to join our automotive repair workshop. As a preparator, you will be responsible for assessing damaged vehicles, estimating the cost of repairs, and repairing vehicles to their original condition. You will also be required to liaise with clients and maintain high safety standards in the workplace.
Our Company offers a comprehensive after-sales service which includes servicing, spray painting, mechanical repairs, and panel beating.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the vehicle and make sure that all bodywork has been done in the correct manner.
- Examining and cleaning repaired bodywork and discussing what you need to do to finish it.
- Masking (covering) the parts not to be painted.
- Able to smooth any unmasked surfaces by removing any previous coats of paint and sanding any rough areas.
- Applying paper and masking tape to protect any unpainted surfaces and removing them after the vehicle is ready.
- The use of hand and power tools will be required.
- Preparing surfaces and vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working as a Preparator.
