Social Innovative Projects Management Ltd. is seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join its team.
Jobsplus permit number: 1012/2024.
The main duties of the Procurement Officer shall include, but not limited to the following:
- Providing Assistance to the Head of Procurement & Administration throughout the public procurement cycle;
- Understands, and monitors the implementation of the different steps of the procurement cycle, with an understanding of the interactions between the phases, and the risks involved;
- Learns and keeps abreast of developments in the national procurement legislation and policies to support the organisation’s procurement decisions;
- Operates the electronic Public Procurement System and other electronic tools available for supporting procurement procedures;
- Preparation of procurement documents;
- Serving as a Secretary in the Evaluation Boards and thus prepare the Evaluation Report;
- Assisting to answer any clarifications that may arise during the tendering period;
- Assisting in sending rectifications and or clarification during the evaluation;
- Drafting Comparative Statements;
- Compiling Reports which include but not limited to procurement returns reporting and procurement statistics reporting;
- Ensuring the timely processing of all purchase orders;
- Compiling Green Public Procurement Reports;
- Assisting in post contract management;
- The vetting of bill of quantities prior to effecting payment;
- Follow up retention money due to bidders; and
- Undertakes any other tasks, which the superior may delegate to him/her, as may be required.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be:
- In proficient in the use of the Maltese and English Language; and
- In possession of a recognized Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Procurement or Business or Finance or a recognised appropriate comparable qualification; or
- In possession of two (2) subjects at Advanced Level Standard and three (3) subjects at Intermediate Matriculation Level or a recognised appropriate comparable qualification.
