General:
\r\n
Under the direction of the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate, the Programme Co-ordinator shall provide professional development and technical assistance to support FES services, programmes and projects in co-ordinating and implementing effective programmes.
\r\n
The Programme Coordinator shall be responsible for providing assistance in the administration of FES initiatives by building the capacity of centres to develop and implement programmes to meet the needs of the service users.
\r\n
The Programme Coordinator shall also provide guidance to Centre Coordinators and other employees in centres and relevant partners with a view to develop quality programmes that promote the achievement of service users.
\r\n
The following list of duties is applicable to the Programme Coordinator assigned to the Programme Design, Development and Implementation Unit and shall be applicable with respect to all services offered by the FES.
\r\n
Specific:
\r\n
The Programme Coordinator shall have the following roles and responsibilities; however other related duties may be requested to be carried out by the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate in line with the entity’s exigencies.
\r\n
Under the direction of the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate, the Programme Coordinator shall provide professional development and technical assistance to support all projects and programmes offered by the Foundation for Educational Services (FES) by:
\r\n
\r\n
Assisting in the development of different programmes offered by FES in line with national educational policies and targets and active labour market policies;
\r\n
Identifying opportunities for the development of new programmes and initiatives in response to identified gaps in educational service provision for persons/groups at risk of educational and social exclusion;
\r\n
Assisting the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate in the appropriate design, development and implementation of operational research to establish the effectiveness and impact of projects, initiatives and strategies within the various programmes;
\r\n
Carrying out research and data analysis in order to identify gaps or help to improve the quality of the programmes delivered;
\r\n
Identifying EU funds and design, developing and implementing projects that may contribute to the growth and/or improvement of the various programmes;
\r\n
Assisting the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate in facilitating meetings, workshops, seminars etc. for the purpose of improving programme design, development and implementation;
\r\n
Working with all stakeholders, including the local community and community centres, to assist in the design, development and implementation of programmes and projects in liaison with the FES;
\r\n
Assisting the Senior Management Team of the FES in the development of strategic and business planning in relation to projects and programmes within the Programme Coordinator’s remit;
\r\n
Consulting with the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate on new and innovative elements or projects within the Programme Coordinator’s remit;
\r\n
Carrying out visits to centres in order to monitor the quality of programmes delivered;
\r\n
Identifying academic and play curricula and resources to improve programmes;
\r\n
Ensurig that academic and play activities are in line with national curriculum and national policy standards;
\r\n
Ensuring that the programme of activities delivered is interesting, valuable and appropriate to the service users;
\r\n
Holding regular meetings with key programme personnel and with centre coordinators,giving support and guidance, as may be necessary;
\r\n
Ensuring that all FES personnel are fully informed of, and in compliance with, education and FES policy and procedures;
\r\n
Assisting the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate in the planning, development, delivery and review of programmes and training services as part of the ongoing professional development of staff;
\r\n
Identifying resources and providing technical assistance to staff to address the academic and planning needs of FES service users;
\r\n
Ensuring the adoption of effective approaches to motivating and supporting parents to become partners in the development of the different services;
\r\n
Developing communication strategies to increase awareness and support for FES services;
\r\n
Facilitating collaboration between FES centres, educational entities, public agencies and child/youth focused initiatives;
\r\n
Participating in coordinated projects and school-linked programmes organised by other Government Departments/Entities;
\r\n
Actively participating in any meetings, and keeping minutes, as may be necessary;
\r\n
Formulating the relevant sections of the FES Annual Report relating to projects and programmes within the Programme Co-ordinator’s remit;
\r\n
Consulting with the Senior Management Team on possible misconduct by staff within the Programme Coordinator’s remit;
\r\n
Assist Manager – Programmes Design, Development and Implementation in facilitating meetings, workshops, seminars, etc for the purpose of identifying issues, developing recommendations and supporting staff;
\r\n
Undertaking annual performance assessments for FES members of staff according to guidelines established by the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate;
\r\n
Participating in staff recruitment processes, as may be required;
\r\n
Undertaking any other task that may, from time to time, be assigned by the Manager – Programme Design, Development and Implementation and/or his/her delegate.
