The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payment reconciliation process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions across the Group’s accounting system and merchant records. This includes leading PSP and general ledger reconciliations, aligning accounts with sub-ledgers and supporting documentation, and liaising with internal teams such as the Data Warehouse to resolve discrepancies. In this leadership role, the Team Leader guides and supports the reconciliation team, sets priorities, drives process improvements, and plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the integrity of the Group’s financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and support the PSP reconciliation team by overseeing day-to-day operations and effectively allocating workload to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
\r\n
Drive team performance and development by providing regular feedback, conducting training sessions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
\r\n
Manage the end-to-end payment reconciliation process by overseeing PSP and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring all transactions—including fees, chargebacks, and refunds—are accurately and completely recorded across the Group’s systems, sub-ledgers, and merchant records in a timely manner.
\r\n
Collaborate with the Director of Payments to align reconciliation activities with Pinnacle’s overall finance objectives, support reporting requirements and audit readiness, actively participate in weekly finance team calls, and present reconciliation updates and findings clearly to both finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
\r\n
Design, implement, and enhance reconciliation procedures, introducing automation where applicable to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
\r\n
Liaise with internal departments, including the Data Warehouse and Accounting teams, to ensure transaction data is complete, accurate, and reconciled in a timely manner.
\r\n
Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities related to PSP reconciliations, supporting the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
\r\n
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all reconciliation activities, including the organisation and upkeep of fiscal files and records, to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
\r\n
Ability to handle various ad hoc reporting requests, providing accurate and timely financial data to support internal stakeholders and decision-making processes.
\r\n

Experience and Qualifications:
\r\n
\r\n
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role, ideally within finance, accounting, or payments operations; Preferably at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
\r\n
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance / Accounting, or a related field; Relevant certifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA Diploma, or Bookkeeping Certificate) will be considered an asset.
\r\n
Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks or similar).
\r\n
Familiarity with the online gaming or payments industry will be considered an asset.
\r\n
