Role Overview \nThe Purchasing & Logistics Executive will support the Purchasing Manager with daily procurement and logistics activities. This includes coordinating supplier orders, monitoring inventory levels, and managing shipping schedules to ensure the seamless flow of goods. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can liaise effectively with both local and international suppliers to maintain efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Support: Assist the Purchasing Manager by preparing purchase orders and maintaining regular communication with local and overseas suppliers.
\n\t
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, assist with replenishment, and ensure availability of fast-moving and essential products.
\n\t
Shipment Coordination: Track shipments, prepare accurate customs and freight documentation, and follow up on delivery schedules.
\n\t
Logistics Liaison: Work with logistics providers to coordinate deliveries, addressing and resolving shipping delays or issues.
\n\t
Record Management: Maintain accurate purchasing and logistics records within the company’s systems.
\n\t
Supplier Collaboration: Support supplier negotiations and contribute to sourcing new products when required.
\n\t
Reporting: Assist in generating regular reports related to purchasing, shipping, and stock control.
\n\t
Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures across all purchasing and logistics functions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A qualification in purchasing, supply chain, or business administration will be considered an asset.
\n\t
Experience: Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain, ideally within import/export or wholesale distribution.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required to succeed in this role.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to work collaboratively while building positive working relationships.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of inventory or ERP systems is advantageous.
