Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd and Combino Pharm (Malta) Ltd form part of the Medichem group, a Spanish pharmaceutical organization which develops and manufactures both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.
Medichem specialises in active pharmaceutical ingredients, while Combino Pharm is focused on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products. The organization provides high quality medicinal substances and products for the worldwide market, with special emphasis on Europe and the US.
We are currently looking for a new team member to join Combino in Malta, for the following QC Lab Analyst role:
Responsibilities and Functions:
•Performing Chemical and Physical analysis of QC laboratory samples including starting materials, in process/intermediates and finished products.
•Performing Chemical and Physical analysis in support of Process validation, Analytical Method validation, Cleaning Validation, Stability studies and Equipment qualification.
•Documenting analytical work in accordance with internal procedures and as per good documentation and laboratory practices.
•Placing retained samples and stability samples in the appropriate storage areas and to record their entry and removal.
•Registering material and product samples into the appropriate Laboratory register/s.
•Performing routine equipment verification checks in accordance with internal procedures.
•Preparing the test/reference solutions, mobile phase, dissolution medium and buffers according to the analytical methods and/or pharmacopeial monograph.
•Ensuring that all reagents and Reference standards are used within the expiry/use by date, and to discard any expired reagents appropriately.
•Ensuring equipment used for analysis is labelled as qualified/calibrated.
•Inputting JDE data and issue documents from JDE, as required by internal procedures.
Requirements:
•Higher qualification in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science.
•Ideally have previous working experience in a QC environment.
•Self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.
•Results oriented and will display an attitude that reflects our Company values.
•Able to work independently and in a team environment.
