Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Support Officer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting in the efficient operations of our GMP-compliant laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct coordination with the procurement and logistics department ensuring that appropriate stock levels of chemicals and consumables are maintained, and the necessary material specifications are met.
- Scientifically assess and contribute to GMP related aspects including laboratory changes and investigations, whilst ensuring compliance.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements, optimising workflows, and ensuring that all activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with GMP standards according to lean principles.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the QC Laboratory Assistants (Microbiology/Chemistry), ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and according to quality and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the registration of finished pharmaceutical products ensuring that all tests are registered in according to product testing requirements.
- Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is available, calibrated and maintained according to established standards, by co-ordinating with service providers and engineering department.
Candidate Profile
- Education: A Degree at MQF Level 6 or higher, in a relevant field.
- Experience: Prior experience in a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical environment is a must.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Adequate IT skills, with the ability to use laboratory software and excel.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to guide and support laboratory assistants.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and operational excellence.
- Applicant must be in possession of a valid work permit.
