About This Job

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual to join our finance function operating within a growing, fast-paced, international financial services organisation, to hold the rewarding role of Quantitative Analyst. You will form part of the Strategic Financial Planning team of this pan-European banking group, reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. This position calls for a person with strong analytical background and communication skills; someone who is self-motivated, open to new challenges, and embraces a flexible, changing, international environment. Duties and responsibilities

  • A key role in the annual budgeting, capital and liquidity planning process
  • Performing rolling forecasts and other ad-hoc analyses
  • Building and maintaining models to analyse and simulate the outcome of business proposals
  • Analysing product-level risk/return characteristics for current and prospective products
  • Analysing trends in key performance indicators and explaining the causes of variances
  • Clear and insightful communication of modelling results to business heads and management
  • Performing research to challenge, support, or improve modelling approaches
  • Performing market research to support pricing and other business decisions
  • Analysing the impact of macroeconomic changes on portfolio/business performance
  • Understanding underlying data sources and using such sources in financial models
  • Supporting preparation of ICAAP, ILAAP, and other regulatory submissions
  • Supporting regulatory stress testing exercises
  • Ensuring high-quality model documentation that meets internal and regulatory requirements

Required knowledge, skills and expeience

  • A University degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related subject
  • Previous experience in Financial Planning & Analysis in banking is required
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good communication, presentation skills, including use of PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of SQL & Python or similar languages will be considered an asset
  • A pro-active and flexible team player
