dormouse Ltd. is a dynamic, established and growing hedge fund located in Malta. We trade the most liquid futures contracts in bonds, indices and currencies of the world's biggest economies, US, Canada, UK, Europe, Japan and Australia, including a selection of commodities.
Job Profile
The candidate will be developing software to support and extend the company's trading and business systems, as well as monitoring the automated execution of the systematic futures portfolio throughout the trading day.
The trading responsibilities include monitoring the integrity of the input data, monitoring broker connections, ensuring the trades are executed in a timely manner, ensuring that reports to external parties are accurate and timely, and catching and fixing any problems that may arise in the live trading system.
Systems development will include improving execution algorithms, researching and implementing strategies, and improving monitoring and other business systems. The principals of the firm, experts in this field, will invest a significant amount of personal time and attention in training the trader to be able to fulfill these responsibilities.
Qualifications / Experience
The applicant must be a skilled programmer: candidates should have written programs of moderate complexity, preferably using version control in a team environment. Linux experience is strongly preferred. Actual software development at the firm will use mainly Python, Javascript, and Git in a Linux environment.
A strong mathematical background is necessary for the scientific methods employed at the firm. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics or physics is preferred.

Remuneration
dormouse operates a competitive salary scheme seeking to pay it’s employees (over the long-term) higher than the median salary for commensurate experience in Malta. We also have an annual bonus scheme (after a qualifying period) and a health insurance program for employees.
