Role Overview
\n\n
The Director of Revenue Management will be responsible for implementing and reviewing strategies to maximise revenue generation within the hotel. The role involves overseeing revenue management and distribution strategies, forecasting demand, and ensuring optimal pricing and yield management across all channels. The Director will also be expected to cultivate a culture of revenue optimisation, working closely with internal stakeholders to align the revenue strategy with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t
Ensure consistent pricing and yield strategy: Develop and implement rational pricing strategies across all channels, including OTAs, and market segments for rooms in line with the core standards.
\n\t
Utilise revenue management systems: Leverage systems such as Opera, Synxis, and IDeaS to manage and implement revenue management strategies effectively.
\n\t
Evaluate competitive landscape: Benchmark against competitor pricing, availability, and promotional options, adjusting the hotels strategy to remain competitive.
\n\t
Lead the annual room revenue budget: Take full ownership of the annual room revenue budget process, ensuring alignment with business goals.
\n\t
Analyse and forecast business demand: Regularly assess booking patterns and price sensitivity, adjusting strategies accordingly to optimise revenue generation.
\n\t
Monitor distribution channels: Ensure rate parity, information accuracy, and competitive positioning across distribution channels such as Global Distribution Systems, Online Travel Agencies and Brand.
\n\t
Analyse market performance: Prepare and analyse market share reports, monthly and weekly forecasts, and other performance metrics to ensure RevPAR (revenue per available room) targets are achieved.
\n\t
Collaborate with Groups and Events: Work closely with the Groups and Events team to optimise space release policies and catering opportunities.
\n\t
Training and development: Lead and implement training programmes for the Reservations Services Team to foster development and meet revenue targets.
\n\t
Communicate revenue strategies: Proactively communicate revenue strategies to the broader team, ensuring alignment with the hotels goals.
\n\t
Conduct appraisals: Conduct annual appraisals to motivate and develop the team, ensuring their growth within the organisation.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in revenue management, ideally in a 4 to 5 Star hotel environment. Previous experience in Revenue, Reservations, or Front Office is highly desirable.
\n\t
Qualifications: A degree/postgraduate qualification in a related field such as Business Management, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Fluency in additional languages is an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong communicator, capable of engaging with various stakeholders and team members to drive the revenue strategy.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and able to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Opera, Synxis, and IDeaS, along with a strong command of Excel.
\n\t
Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: A proactive and driven individual with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and adjust strategies to maximise revenue.
