This external role will involve travelling across Malta and Gozo with a company car to sell electrical and lighting products to retail outlets, contractors and tendering entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new accounts, nurturing existing client relationships and achieving sales targets. The ideal applicant will be skilled in building rapport, following up diligently and closing deals, with a solid understanding of the electrical supply sector. \n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n
\n\t
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Visit prospective and existing customers, including retailers, contractors and public bodies, to present products and secure orders; build long‑term relationships through regular contact.
\n\t
Territory Management: Plan and execute a schedule of client visits across Malta and Gozo; maintain accurate records of interactions, quotes and follow‑ups.
\n\t
Product Demonstration and Quotation: Provide technical advice on lighting and electrical products, prepare quotations and assist clients with design ideas.
\n\t
Sales Pipeline and Target Achievement: Generate and chase leads, manage tender opportunities and ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded.
\n\t
Order Fulfilment Coordination: Liaise with internal teams – showroom, logistics, technical support and stores – to ensure smooth processing and delivery of orders.
\n\t
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor offerings and customer feedback; report insights to management to support continuous improvement.
\n\t
Administration: Use CRM or similar tools to track activities, maintain client data and provide timely reports.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
\n\n

Education: Diploma in business, engineering or a related field. Candidates with substantial & proven industry experience, especially in Sales, will be considered as well.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical and lighting products and the requirements of domestic, commercial and industrial clients; possession of an electrical licence is an advantage.
\n\t
Experience: Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of meeting targets; ability to understand procurement cycles and tender processes.
\n\t
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build trust and negotiate effectively.
\n\t
Organisation: Strong time‑management and organisational skills with disciplined follow‑up.
\n\t
Personal Qualities: Self‑motivated, energetic and customer‑oriented; capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Driving Licence: Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across Malta and Gozo.
\n\t
Language: Proficient in English; Maltese language skills are highly beneficial.
