Role Overview \nThe Sales & Marketing Manager will drive the Company’s business development and trade marketing efforts across Malta. This is not an office-based role as most of the working time will be spent actively engaging with retail partners, executing visibility initiatives, and leading the sales team to deliver strong commercial performance. The position requires a proactive approach, hands-on implementation, and the ability to build enduring relationships in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Client Engagement: Identify growth opportunities, cultivate relationships with key accounts, and secure new business across the retail sector in Malta.

Trade Marketing Execution: Implement and oversee visibility programmes and in-store activations to ensure optimal brand presence and effective promotion.
\n\t
Sales Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and develop the sales team, fostering accountability and a high-performance culture.
\n\t
Market Monitoring: Track competitor activity, gather market intelligence, and provide insights to inform strategy and execution.
\n\t
Performance Reporting: Analyse results of sales and marketing activities, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to achieve targets.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Education: A qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
\n\t
Experience: Demonstrable experience in sales management and trade marketing within the FMCG or retail sector. Candidates with strong sales management backgrounds but no marketing experience will be considered, with compensation adjusted to reflect this.

Language Skills: Excellent command of both English and Maltese is required to succeed in this role.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Clear and persuasive communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-builder with the credibility to develop trust and rapport quickly.
