Job Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will lead and support cross-functional Agile teams in the delivery of software products, ensuring that Agile principles are fully understood and adopted.
Your primary tool for project tracking and communication will be Jira, so deep experience with Jira is essential. You will work closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
● Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
● Project planning: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
● Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
● Regularly monitor and report on project progress, including key milestones, metrics, and performance indicators.
● Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, and manage project changes effectively.
● Jira management: Set up and maintain Jira projects, workflows, and boards to track progress across teams.
● Remove impediments: Identify and resolve any blockers or obstacles that slow down team progress.
● Ensure Agile best practices: Coach the team on Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and foster continuous improvement.
● Sprint tracking and reporting: Use Jira to track team performance, velocity, and sprint progress, and generate actionable reports.
● Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure that the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.
● Resource management: Coordinate resources across multiple teams and ensure efficient allocation to meet project goals.
● Promote a self-organizing team: Encourage accountability, adaptability, and ownership within the development team.
● Facilitate communication: Ensure clear communication between the team, stakeholders, and external partners, utilizing Jira for transparency.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
● 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager for a Software Development team.
● Proficient in Jira, including managing projects, boards, and workflows.
● Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
● Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
● Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
● CSM certification is considered a plus.
