Role Overview

In collaboration with Heroix, our Client is seeking a Senior Accountant for the provision of corporate services, including the preparation of management accounts, bookkeeping, and financial statements in line with IFRSs for various Collective Investment Schemes (CIS). The role involves liaising with auditors, responding to their queries during annual audits, and ensuring compliance with financial statutory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and review: Regulatory reporting, annual financial reports, and Annual Fund Returns.

Liaison: Working with investment managers, auditors, custodians, and other fund service providers.

Compliance: Meeting financial statutory reporting requirements for CISs.

Bookkeeping: Providing bookkeeping services to clients.

Audit support: Serving as the point of contact with auditors and regulatory bodies during the annual audit process.

Tax filings: Preparing and filing VAT and tax returns as needed, with training provided.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Experience: Two to four years in accounting, preferably within the financial services industry. Experience with CIS accounting is an asset.

Education: In possession of or in the final stages of an Accounting qualification, such as ACCA or equivalent.

Skills: Strong analytical and accounting abilities; advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Independence: Capable of working independently and as part of a team, taking initiative, and handling new tasks with minimal guidance.

Pressure management: Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.

Organisation: Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated.

Attitude: Friendly, outgoing, and positive demeanor.
