Draft, prepare, file, and review judicial acts and related documents required for court proceedings.\n\t
Conduct legal research and provide legal advice as necessary.\n\t
Liaise and coordinate with external lawyers on court procedures.\n\t
Ensure court-related deadlines are met and decisions communicated in a timely manner.\n\t
Prepare thoroughly for court sittings, including witness preparation.\n\t
Update publications on the firm’s website as required.\n\t
Manage external legal fees, trackers, and logs.\n\t
Support the Manager in monitoring, reviewing, and following up on the team’s work.\n\t
Evaluate, review, and assess team operations and report findings when required.\n\t
Assist in the implementation and application of enforcement processes.\n\t
Contribute to recruitment processes when required.\n\t
Draft and review policies and procedures within the Court Litigation Team and ensure their effective implementation.\n\t
Assist in planning the team’s operations and goals in line with the Section’s priorities.\n\t
Provide training internally and externally.\n\t
Liaise with firms’ units, agents, and external authorities to gather data and documents for proceedings.\n\t
Testify in court proceedings and present documents on oath on behalf of the firm.\n\t
Assist in ad-hoc projects and assignments during the year.\n\t
Represent the firm in international fora as required.\n
\n \nRequirements:\n\n
\n\t
LL.D. or M.Adv. Degree (MQF Level 7 or higher) in Law.\n\t
Warrant to practice as an advocate in the Law Courts of Malta.\n\t
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant court practice or AML/CFT experience.\n\t
Strong understanding of AML/CFT laws, international standards, EU Directives, and related Maltese legislation.\n\t
Familiarity with financial, gaming, and other regulated sectors.\n\t
Experience in applying AML/CFT legislation is considered an asset.\n\t
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English.\n\t
Managerial experience considered an asset.\n\t
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office automation tools.\n
