Role Overview
This Senior advisory role is pivotal in guiding our clients through the intricacies of ESG strategies and disclosure standards. The incumbent will play a crucial role in driving sustainability initiatives, ensuring robust governance frameworks, and fostering community contributions. The position requires proactive engagement with clients, leading sustainability reporting, and supporting the professional growth of colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Pro-actively engaging with both existing and new clients to deliver market-leading ESG advisory services.
Project Management: Delivering ESG strategies on time and within budget, managing projects to meet or exceed targets and deadlines.
Sustainability Reporting: Leading materiality assessments and managing client sustainability reporting and disclosure obligations.
Stakeholder Interaction: Liaising with, engaging, and presenting to senior executives, business leaders, and clients.
Professional Development: Supporting the professional development of colleagues, including providing training opportunities.
Promotion and Events: Organising events and identifying speaking opportunities to promote the business's services.
Strategic Preparation: Preparing groundwork for organisations to pursue meaningful and purpose-led ESG strategies and targets.
Internal Collaboration: Liaising with internal teams, external experts, and key stakeholders.
Networking: Enabling networking opportunities for learning, development, and progression.
Workshop Support: Supporting senior stakeholder engagement workshops for business clients and financial institutions.
Regulatory Knowledge: Possessing knowledge of European Sustainability Reporting Standards, CSRD, and SFDR.
Programme Implementation: Challenging businesses on implementing their environmental and sustainability programmes effectively.
Evaluation: Evaluating sustainability disclosures and reporting for companies.
Target Formulation: Helping clients formulate targets and commitments to carbon emissions and net zero targets.
System Implementation: Assisting companies in implementing ESG management and governance systems.
Business Development: Managing proposals and business development opportunities across various clients in both the private and public sectors.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Educational Background: A relevant degree or qualifications in sustainability, environment, geography, business, etc.
Professional Experience: Relevant experience in ESG, preferably within a consultancy background, including developing ESG strategies and managing projects.
Sector Experience: Experience working with corporate clients and/or financial services companies across different sectors.
Research Skills: Excellent research, analytical, writing, and presentational skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Personable character with an ability to foster good working relationships with clients.
Collaboration: Ability to work across departments with other individuals or teams.
