A vacancy has arisen in the Quality Control Laboratory for the position of:
SENIOR QUALITY CONTROL ANALYST
The ideal candidate should:
- have a good eye for detail, be highly organised, accurate and methodical in his/her work. Good communication, documentation, and time management skills are necessary
- To be able to work in a small team
- Preferably have a degree in science subjects (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or Medical Laboratory Science).
- Have experience and knowledge of various traditional wet chemistry analytical techniques and practices
- Be fluent in English
- Experience in a GMP QC laboratory environment and with at least 2 years’ experience. Experience with HPLC and GC are considered an asset.
Main Tasks
- Reports to the QC Manager. Amongst other laboratory duties, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- analysing raw materials, intermediates, in-process, finished products and stability samples according to established methods and procedures
- analytical validation and transfer of new analytical methods
- preparing retention samples and to upkeep the relevant documentation
- carrying out routine checks and calibration of laboratory instruments
- following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks
- using analytical techniques and instrumentation
- interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data.
