Position: Senior Marine Surveyor
Qualifications and Skills:
- Fluency in English and preferably also in Maltese, with excellent technical English report writing skills.
- Second Engineer or 3rd Engineer CoC STCW, or a degree in Marine Engineering and/or Naval Architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Marine Surveyor or in a similar position.
- Preference for candidates holding a Chief Engineer CoC, with experience in Drydocking and/or Superintendence, with strong knowledge in Hull & Machinery.
- Solid understanding of SOLAS, MARPOL, IMDG, IMO, MLC, and ISPS codes and maritime regulations.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the company, coordination of workload and overseeing surveyor assignments.
- Monitor and Collaborate closely with surveyors and offer consultancy and assistance when required.
- Conduct a wide range of surveys on vessels, superyachts, and yachts, both commercial and private. This includes hull & machinery inspections, statutory certification, various types cargo, insurance claims, and P&I surveys, both locally and internationally.
- Implementing strategic initiatives to promote top-tier services, and expand market reach
- This Maritime position requires availability for irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays, both locally and abroad, as required.
