Overview
Join a dynamic team operating an industrial facility where you’ll be responsible for safe, efficient plant operations across assigned shifts. This role requires holding both A and B licenses and delivers hands-on technical support, routine maintenance, and continuous process monitoring to ensure compliance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plant systems during assigned shifts, including start-up, shutdown, and normal running of equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and control systems; document findings and escalate issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults promptly to minimize downtime; coordinate corrective actions with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Manage process control systems and instrumentation, adjust settings to maintain optimum performance and safety parameters.
- Execute safety checks and ensure regulatory compliance, adhering to permits, operating procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports for shift handovers, incidents, maintenance activities, and inventory usage.
- Respond to emergencies and implement contingency plans, including isolation, lockout/tagout, and safe shutdown procedures.
- Train and mentor junior staff and contractors on safe operating practices and company procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for specialized repairs and routine servicing as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- A & B Licenses (required) demonstrating authorization to operate and manage relevant plant systems.
- Proven experience at a mid-senior level in shift-based industrial operations or plant technician roles.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, motors, valves, and control systems.
- Proficient with PLCs, SCADA or other process control/automation systems.
- Solid working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations; competent in permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English (full professional proficiency) for clear reporting and coordination.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, and respond to on-call duties.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work independently under pressure.
- Relevant technical certifications or vocational qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or process disciplines preferred.
