&lt;li&gt;Greeting customers as soon as they enter the shop.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Providing excellent customer care to our customers by building a healthy rapport&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assisting customers in any queries they might have&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Forwarding any customer complaints to the supervisor on duty&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cash duties;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Counting cash till at the beginning of the shift to make sure that the float is correct&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Scanning all customers’ shopping items&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Making sure that quantities punched are correct&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Upselling items to customers&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Processing of cash and card payments&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Giving out the receipt to the customer&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Preparing cash float for next shift&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintaining clean and tidy cash counters&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Product Display near Cash Counters;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Checking deliveries vis a vis invoices&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Making sure that all displays are stacked in an excellent manner including; correct pricing and facing&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Following the FIFO system&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Notifying the Shop Supervisors whenever a product is out of stock&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Inputting details of goods received on the electronic system through a handheld PDA&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintaining of stores in a clean and tidy manner&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pastry Counter;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Having good knowledge of pastries sold and what ingredients they contain&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Knowing how to stock up the pastry counter as per company guidelines&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Making sure that FIFO is being followed&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintaining the pastry counter in a clean and neat manner&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensuring correct packaging of pastry products&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Procedures and Policies;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Following all Health and Safety regulations at all times in all areas&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Updating of all documentation including temperature sheets and cleaning schedules that may be required&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Following of standards and company procedures&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Others;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The cash desks and walkways are to be kept clear at all times&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Other duties that might be requested from time to time&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;As a Shop Assistant the employee assists the Shop Supervisors in a variety of tasks to &lt;br&gt;ensure a smooth operation of the business.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
