About This Job

As a Stock Controller at ST Hotels Malta, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our hospitality operations. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and supporting overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure adequate supply for all hotel operations while minimizing overstock and wastage.
- Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Order Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and departments to place orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to forecast trends, optimize procurement processes, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and supplier information using inventory management systems.
- Reporting: Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting discrepancies, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all goods received meet the company’s quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including procurement, kitchen, and housekeeping, to align inventory management with operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or stock management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to optimize stock levels.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to identifying and addressing inventory-related issues.
