
Store, Procurement and Logistics Administrator

KM Malta Airlines Limited, the newly set up airline of the Maltese Islands, is seeking to recruit a Store, Procurement and Logistics Administrator, within the Technical Operations department.
The position is accountable to the Head of Procurement and Logistics. The Procurement and Logistics (Warehouse) Administrator is required to ensure the general management of all warehouse areas including Maintenance Stores, Serviceable, Unserviceable, Quarantine, Reject, Receipt and Despatch areas, perform standard inventory control functions and aircraft parts procurement processes and incoming stores inspection.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out Inventory Control, Parts Receiving Inspection, Audits and stores transaction duties.
- Perform systematic Physical Stock Checks and keep quantity or batch discrepancy to a minimum.
- Processing of “System” and “Aircraft Maintenance” requisitions.
- Monitoring and follow up of re-stocking and Maintenance related orders with the suppliers and contracted freight forwarder.
- General upkeep of all serviceable stores, unserviceable stores, quarantine, reject, dispatch, receipt areas and upkeep of all section equipment and tooling.
- Ensuring that aircraft components, parts and materials are appropriately binned and stored in accordance with Aviation Standards Practices.
- Ensure appropriate packing of aircraft parts and components for shipment.
- Disposal of scrapped parts and materials, in accordance with section procedure.
- Drive company vehicles on the airfield and handle stores equipment including fork lifters.
- Assisting P&L Executive with special procurement or logistics projects.
Working Conditions
24 hrs. shift roster duty and/or normal office hours.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Maltese.
- Good interpersonal, presentation and communications skills.
- Committed to enhance own and section’s performance and efficiency.
- Ability to learn and use software systems used within the department.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
- Be in possession of a clean police conduct and in possession of a valid driving license.
- Willingness to learn inventory management, stock control, and record-keeping for efficient store operations.
- Willingness and ability to learn how to operate equipment used in stores and warehouses such as pallet lifters, engine driven fork lifter,strapping machines etc.
- If selected, applicant would need to sit for and successful pass, an MIA course to obtain the MIA Airfield Driving Permit.
- Ability to understand task priorities.
- Willingness to learn more and accept formal and on-job training in skills, knowledge and procedures, related to the position.
