Student Admissions & Sales Advisor
About This Job
Location: Malta (Hybrid: Remote / On-site). Relocation required if not currently based in Malta.
Start Date: January 2027
Type: Full-time
Seniority: Mid-Level, with a fast track to management
About StudiesIn
We are an Angel- and VC-backed company entering a massive scaling phase. StudiesIn is transitioning from a tech-led agency model into a high-tech, global platform. We connect international students with their ideal universities and consultants, leveraging AI tools and a decentralized network of international consultants.
About the Role
We are looking for a Student Admissions & Sales Advisor to become the first member of our sales team in Malta and the human side of our new sales engine. You will own our student strategy and support funnel: you take the calls, find out what students really need, and close.
Next to you, our AI advisor handles part of the leads, and we compare results. What you learn on calls goes straight into our scripts, playbooks and products.
We are scaling with technology, not just headcount. You will be closely involved in building our tech sales funnel: testing what converts, shaping AI lead routing and automations, and helping the founders and our developers build the product around what students actually need.
If you are a closer who loves talking to students and parents as much as you love beating your own numbers, this is your opportunity to help build a sales function from day one.
The role starts hands-on in sales, but it is built to scale fast. As we grow, you will hire, train and lead the next advisors and move into a management role.
You will support us through the next months during rebranding, platform relaunch, and expansion into new markets.
This is a partly entrepreneurial role. We are looking for a data-driven self-starter with ideas and an A/B testing mentality. We expect you to max out your StudiesIn Claude subscription and get work done, fast.
This role is not for you if you are waiting for the monthly paycheck and clock out at 5pm every day.
What you'll do
Run Strategy Sessions: Take student and parent calls, mostly by video, find out what they actually need and recommend the right path and package.
Close Application Support Packages: Qualify leads, handle objections and convert strategy sessions into Paid Application Support clients.
Own Your Pipeline: Manage every lead in our AI CRM from first contact to signed client, and follow up by email, WhatsApp and phone until every lead has a clear outcome.
Human vs. AI: Work alongside our AI advisor, compare conversion results and help us decide which students need a human touch.
Improve the Machine: Turn what you hear on calls into better scripts, FAQs, country playbooks and AI prompts, and report weekly on your numbers and what you would change.
Build the Tech Sales Funnel: Work with the founders and our tech team to design, test and automate the funnel, from quiz and booking flow to AI lead routing, CRM automations and follow-up sequences.
Shape the Product: Bring what students tell you on calls into product decisions, test new features before launch and help us decide what to build next.
Grow the Team: As we scale, hire, onboard and train the next advisors, and turn your playbook into their training.
What we're looking for
Experience: 3+ years in sales with targets, ideally consultative B2C sales such as admissions, education, recruitment, travel or financial services. Experience in EdTech or international student recruitment is a massive plus.
Eligibility & Location: Must hold unrestricted EU work authorization (e.g., EU citizenship) to legally work in Malta without sponsorship. You must be currently based in Malta or willing to relocate by January 2027.
The "Closer" Mindset: You know your numbers without looking: your targets, your conversion rate, your best month. And you are honest with students when something isn't the right fit.
Tech & AI Savvy: Highly comfortable with modern CRMs and AI tools. You use them to work faster, not to think for you, and you enjoy building and testing new tools, automations and funnels. Experience with sales tech, no-code tools or product work is a plus.
Leadership Potential: You want to grow into a management role, and you have trained, onboarded or mentored others, or you are ready to.
Languages: Native or highly fluent English (written and spoken) is required. Spanish is a strong asset, and additional languages are a plus.
What we offer
Ground-Floor Opportunity: Be the first advisor on our team in Malta. We plan to scale this role fast, with a clear path into management as you build and lead the advisor team.
Competitive salary, performance bonus and potential equity in the company.
Flexible Hybrid Model: A mix of remote work and collaborative days in our Malta office. Post onboarding you can create your own flexible schedule. What matters is your output and results, not a 9-5 work routine.
Continuous Growth: Direct collaboration with the founding team, hands-on work on our product, and exposure to cutting-edge AI and sales technologies.
Impact: You will help international students change their lives through global education.
How to Apply
Apply via JobHound with your CV and 3-5 sentences on the best sale you ever made.
Our process: a 30-min call, a 45-min roleplay with one of the founders, a 60-min written task, a conversation with our operations lead, and a final conversation. You hear back from us within 72 hours at every step.
Tip: A human will review your application and we use real people for our interviews. If we spot an AI-generated cover letter or generic application, it will receive an AI-generated rejection. Keep it real and authentic!
