Supply Chain Officer

Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd and Combino Pharm (Malta) Ltd form part of the Medichem group, a Spanish pharmaceutical organization which develops and manufactures both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.

Medichem specialises in active pharmaceutical ingredients, while Combino Pharm is focused on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products. The organization provides high quality medicinal substances and products for the worldwide market, with special emphasis on Europe and the US.

We are currently looking for a new team member to join Combino Pharm in Malta, for the following Supply Chain Officer role:

Responsibilities and Functions:

· Support in maintaining an updated Approved Suppliers List and follow procedures for new suppliers.

· Generating material request planner reports and act upon accordingly.

· Requesting quotations and raise purchase orders for stock items.

· Follow up purchase orders of stock items to ensure timely delivery. File and manage all documentation once items are received.

· Communicating with the relevant suppliers when there are incidents and complaints related to purchase orders.

· Supporting other departments in any matters needed related to purchasing, logistics and transport of imported goods.

· Supporting in the planning of items related to production.

· Seeking alternative suppliers in order to improve security of supply and prices.

· Collaborating and monitoring quality specification updates with Quality department(s). Handling purchasing specifications and control.

· Handling the import of controlled substances.

· Organising outgoing shipments once the requirements specified by clients are known.

· Handle invoicing of shipments, returns and the issuing credit notes.

· Handle of cold chain shipments for both products and samples (including monitoring).

· Handle the export of controlled substances.

· Knowledge of the norms and legal requirements regarding shipments of dangerous material (To be DGR certified)

· Ensuring that Customs documentation relating to imports and exports are being done correctly and in compliance with specific exemptions/concessions in place.

Requirements:

· Diploma or University Degree in a related field.

· Proven experience in the supply chain sector.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

· Ideally have experience working in a GMP environment but not strictly a requirement.

· Self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.

· Results oriented and will display an attitude that reflects our Company values.

· Able to work independently and in a team environment.

· Extremely organised.
