\n\nRole Overview
\n\nThe Tax Manager will take on a leadership role, spearheading the growth and development of the Tax Team while managing a varied client portfolio. Reporting to the Partner, this strategic position requires a candidate with strong business acumen and extensive tax expertise, both domestic and international. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, possess excellent management skills, and ensure the delivery of exceptional client experiences.

\nKey Responsibilities
Tax expertise: Have experience in domestic as well as cross-border and international tax issues.
\n\nLeadership: Take ownership of the Tax Unit within the organization.
\n\nDevelopment: Drive and oversee the development of the unit.
\n\nTraining: Train Tax seniors and associates.
\n\nStrategic growth: Improve the organisations market position by defining long-term goals, building key-customer relationships, and identifying business opportunities.
\n\nProactivity: Adopt a proactive approach.
\n\nAdvisory services: Provide Tax and VAT advisory services at the highest level.
\n\nReview: Review Tax Returns for corporates, individuals, and other bodies of persons.
\n\nDocumentation: Review Tax Refund forms and shareholders registration forms.
\n\nSupport: Assist the responsible Partner in complex Tax and VAT Advisory projects.
\n\nMarketing: Assist in the preparation of articles, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
\n\nClient solutions: Understand clients' needs to develop workable solutions.
\n\nTimely advice: Provide clients with timely advice on the impact of changes in international taxation.
\n\nPerformance targets: Set and achieve key performance targets for the team.
\n\nCollaboration: Support and work closely with other entities within the Group.
\n\nRepresentation: Represent the organisation in local and international tax forums.

\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in a management role within the field of Tax.
\n\nClient management: Proven track record in client relationship management and managing a team.
\n\nAnalytical skills: Be analytical and have sound problem-solving skills.
\n\nFast-paced environment: Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
\n\nPresentation skills: Possess strong presentation skills and able to deliver to international audiences.
\n\nCommunication: Strong verbal and written skills in English and Maltese.
\n\nJudgement: A combination of decisiveness and sound judgement.
\n\nProfessional qualification: The candidate will be a warranted accounting professional or a lawyer specialising in taxation.
