We supply a vital service to local and international companies through oil bunkering, fuel distribution, waste oil management and terminal operations. SL Shipping Management Company Limited, a company in the Falzon Group of Companies, is looking for a Technical Superintendent to join its dynamic marine division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the technical operations and maintenance of a number of ships in our fleet, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards;
- Organise/conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the highest standards of safety, performance, and maintenance;
- Coordinate with the crew and onshore teams to address technical issues and implement effective solutions;
- Monitor and manage budgets related to technical operations, maintenance, and repairs;
- Organise and oversee repairs and dry dockings, both locally and abroad.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime/shipping industry;
- In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations and standards would be an asset.
Skills and Competences:
- Capable of leading a small technical team;
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure within a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
