&lt;p&gt;As a TechOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of critical IT platforms and applications within a dynamic telecom environment. This position allows for the application of advanced IT skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered by frontline technical staff, while also offering exposure to a diverse array of technologies including, but not limited to, GrayLog, GitLab, JIRA, Docker, Ansible, Python, SQL/PLSQL, Nagios, Grafana, and systems across both Linux and Windows.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Accountabilities / Key Activities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Project Implementation:&lt;/strong&gt; Plan and execute business and operational projects, contributing actively in establishing requirements.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Operations:&lt;/strong&gt; Ensure availability, scalability and monitoring of critical systems and applications.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Issue Resolution&lt;/strong&gt;: Address and resolve technical issues within predefined SLAs, participating in service management processes to prevent future occurrences.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Quality Assurance:&lt;/strong&gt; Conduct black/grey box testing to detect and report bugs to the software engineering team.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Innovation and Research:&lt;/strong&gt; Proactively research and experiment with new technologies to maintain and enhance innovation across our systems.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Disaster Recovery Planning:&lt;/strong&gt; Design and execute disaster recovery tests, including backup/restore procedures and OS/Application clustering, to ensure system resilience.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;On-call Support:&lt;/strong&gt; Participate in a rota-based 24/7 on-call support system to ensure continuous system availability.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Functional &amp;amp; Technical Skills:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Scripting and Programming:&lt;/strong&gt; Utilise scripting and programming languages to enhance system efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and implement self-healing mechanisms.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Java Application Support:&lt;/strong&gt; Support and maintain Java Applications, ensuring their optimal performance.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;System Administration:&lt;/strong&gt; Proficient in Oracle, PL/SQL, UNIX &amp;amp; Linux, and OS-based scripting.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Micro-Service Architecture:&lt;/strong&gt; Understand the basics of micro-service architecture and its implementation.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Networking Fundamentals&lt;/strong&gt;: Have a foundational knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Credentials &amp;amp; Experience:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Educational Background&lt;/strong&gt;: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Professional Experience:&lt;/strong&gt;Minimum of two years of experience in a system engineering or DevOps role.&lt;br&gt;Solid experience with various operating systems, with a strong emphasis on Linux.&lt;br&gt;Experience in working with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL, is considered an asset.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Project Management:&lt;/strong&gt; Experience working with Agile methodologies will be considered an asset.&lt;/li&gt;
