Vehicle Inspector

Burmarrad Group is looking for a full time Vehicle Inspector. As a Vehicle Inspector, you will be carrying out accurate inspections on vehicles as per rental contract and company standards.
You will work with a team on-site to ensure targets are met, all vehicles requiring inspection that day are completed, and all inspection data is uploaded to the Company’s system.

Responsibilities:
Daily Planning & Coordination
- Prepare and maintain an updated list of all vehicles booked for the next three days, including rentals and replacements, as well as any same‑day bookings.
- Prepare a weekend availability list to support replacement requirements.
Vehicle Inspection & Documentation
- Conduct thorough pre‑rental and post‑rental inspections together with clients, ensuring full transparency.
- Record all damages, dents, missing fuel, and missing equipment using the company’s inspection tools.
- Ensure all inspection documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
- Check water, oil, and other essential fluid levels for every vehicle.
- Inspect rental fridges, ensuring correct temperature and taking photographic evidence whether powered by engine or electricity.
Communication & Reporting
- Report all damages and inspection findings to the Service Department.
- Communicate with clients regarding any new damages, shortages, or discrepancies identified during inspections.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Controller regarding any repairs or maintenance required.
- Inform the Car Wash team of vehicles that require cleaning.
Compliance & Administration
- Monitor road licence expiry dates and ensure timely renewal before expiration.
- Accurately input and maintain all vehicle and inspection data in the company’s IT systems.
Vehicle Handling & Site Organisation
- Move and drive vehicles safely within the facility.
- Ensure all parking areas are kept organised and vehicles are positioned correctly.
Training & Additional Duties
- Participate in company‑required training, including health and safety.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management to support operations.
Requirements
- Good communication skills in English; Maltese is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a vehicle rental, automotive, logistics, or operations environment is an asset.
- Basic understanding of vehicle components, fluid levels, and general mechanical awareness.
- Familiarity with inspection processes, damage reporting, or fleet operations is considered an advantage.
- Valid driving licence (manual preferred) to safely move vehicles within the facility.
- Ability to walk, stand, and inspect vehicles throughout the shift.
