Role Overview

Heroix is working with a respected organisation in the ICT sector that is looking to recruit an AI Solutions Engineer to join its growing technical team. This position offers the opportunity to design and deliver intelligent automation solutions, develop scalable software, and work directly with clients to ensure successful implementation and long-term adoption of AI-powered technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation solutions and AI-powered applications that address client requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Software Engineering: Create, enhance, and maintain reliable, scalable software applications while following recognised development standards and best practices.
• Client Support: Guide customers through implementation, provide technical assistance, resolve issues, and deliver ongoing support to maximise solution performance.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Documentation: Produce and maintain clear technical documentation covering system configurations, integrations, implementation processes, and user guidance.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing solutions, identify opportunities for optimisation, and contribute ideas that enhance products, services, and internal processes.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years' professional experience in software development, with exposure to delivering technical solutions within a commercial environment.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Able to explain technical concepts clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge while delivering a high standard of customer service.
• Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative professional who enjoys working with colleagues and building positive relationships with clients.
• Technical Skills: Strong programming knowledge in Python and JavaScript, together with a solid understanding of software engineering principles. Experience with AI technologies, automation platforms, system integrations, cloud services, APIs, or microservices would be considered an advantage.
• Organisation: Capable of managing multiple assignments, maintaining accurate documentation, and prioritising work effectively within changing deadlines.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, works independently when required, and remains committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate technical challenges, identify practical solutions, and continuously improve existing systems.
