Role Overview

As a Boiler Room Operator, you will be an essential part of the facilities management team, responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of the boiler room within a large building. This role requires a hands-on individual who can work effectively in a team environment to ensure the reliable distribution of hot water throughout the facility. You will be working with gas-fired boilers, water tanks, and associated systems to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Boiler Operation: Monitor and operate gas-fired boilers to ensure efficient and safe functioning.
• System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, including checking water levels, pressure, and temperature controls.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with the boiler system to maintain operational efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, particularly those related to gas systems.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Experience in electrical work, electricity, or plumbing is highly desirable, with relevant qualifications in these fields being an asset.
• Proven experience in electrical, electricity, or plumbing work, with the ability to demonstrate hands-on expertise in managing and maintaining related systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with facilities management personnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
