Cable Lineman

HireHound Recruitment is looking for a Cable Lineman to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Install Fibre optic cables at elevated heights following detailed schematics;
• Lay cables through underground ducts and culverts, in which consists of opening manholes and rodding cable ducts;
• Using Ladders safely to access elevated areas;
• Prepare work sites safely per operations manual by setting up warning signs and securing the area;
• Operate safely bucket trucks, hand tools, and power tools near and around electrical distribution lines;
• Maintaining work site safety by following OSHA guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with hazardous materials or equipment;
• Occasionally work in confined spaces;
• Perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions;
• Complete job sheets accurately and promptly.

Requirements:

• Have previous experience in a similar role;
• Have a valid Maltese driving license with category C1 included;
• Be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams;
• Experience in Splicing FOC.
• Have a good command of the English language;
• Have a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and workplace safety;
• Be self-motivated and reliable;
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient project completion and adherence to safety standards;
• Interact with customers professionally to address concerns and provide information;
• Work alongside coordinators to gain access to private property as needed for cable installation.
