Overview
We are looking for a Chef to support daily kitchen operations, prepare high-quality dishes consistently, and assist with menu input and teamwork in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, standards, and portion controls.
- Develop, test, and implement seasonal menus and special-event offerings.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff; foster a positive, efficient team culture.
- Monitor inventory levels; order and receive food and supplies; control food costs and minimize waste.
- Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment; coordinate maintenance and report issues promptly.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage food costing, budgeting, and performance metrics; implement improvements to increase profitability.
- Handle vendor relationships and negotiate pricing to maintain quality and value.
Skills and Qualifications
- Professional culinary experience with progressive responsibility in similar establishments.
- Proven supervisory or management experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Culinary diploma, certification, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
