Cold Stores & Distribution Manager

Job Purpose:

The Cold Store & Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire process for finished goods from forecasting production needs to ensuring timely and effective warehousing, picking, distribution, and customer satisfaction. This role includes managing cold storage logistics, order fulfillment, and handling after-sales complaints to optimize inventory levels, reduce distribution costs, and meet customer demand efficiently.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

• Mimimum MQF Level 6

• 5+ years Management experience in distribution, logistics, and supply chain , preferably in the FMCG or dairy industry.

• Preferblyin possession of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business and/or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of inventory management, cold storage logistics, and distribution planning.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in ERP or supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Able to demonstrate track record of successfully creating SOPs.

• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, cost accounting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).

• Self-driven, flexible, and able to work under pressure.

• Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and make informed decisions to optimize supply chain operations.

• Commitment to addressing customer needs and handling complaints effectively to ensure high satisfaction.

• Accuracy in managing inventory, orders, and logistics details, especially for cold storage requirements.

• Ability to respond to changing demand, production schedules, and customer requirements.

• Good communication skills in English and ideally also in Maltese.
