Role Overview

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Company adheres to gaming regulations, data protection laws, and other relevant legislation. Your responsibilities will include managing compliance policies, overseeing license management, and conducting internal audits. You will also be responsible for developing training programmes and reporting on compliance status.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret gaming regulations, data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), and other relevant legislation applicable to the Company. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all requirements.

License Management: Oversee the application and renewal processes for gaming licenses, such as the Malta Gaming License. Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities and ensure timely communication and reporting.

Data Protection and Privacy: Ensure that the Company's data processing activities comply with data protection laws. Implement and maintain data protection policies and procedures, including handling, security, and breach response.

Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to identify potential issues. Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness. Prepare detailed audit reports for management and regulatory authorities.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver compliance training programmes for employees, focusing on data protection and privacy regulations. Keep staff updated on the latest developments in data protection laws.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Experience: Extensive experience in compliance management with a focus on gaming regulations and data protection. Strong knowledge of Malta Gaming Laws, GDPR, and other relevant legislation.

Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships across various departments and with external authorities.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in compliance management and risk assessment, with a strong understanding of data protection regulations.

Organisation: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple compliance tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Self-Motivated: A proactive approach to identifying compliance issues and implementing solutions.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address compliance-related challenges effectively.
