Role Overview

As part of a dynamic and experienced legal team, the Corporate & Commercial Associate Lawyer will provide legal advice and representation to private and institutional clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with a partner of the firm, delivering tailored solutions to clients' needs while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The role also offers mentorship and opportunities for professional growth within the legal sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Management: Effectively manage client relationships, providing sound legal advice and handling their needs under the direction of a partner.
• Legal Drafting and Review: Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to corporate and commercial matters.
• Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in court when necessary, and assist in resolving disputes efficiently.
• Regulatory Compliance: Advise clients on regulatory and AML compliance across various industries.
• Client Representation: Travel internationally for conferences and client assignments as required, ensuring comprehensive legal support.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Experience: Minimum of two years experience as a lawyer. A post-graduate degree will be considered an asset but is not essential.
• Warrant: A warrant to practice as an advocate in Malta is required.
• Language Skills: Proficient written and spoken English and Maltese are necessary. Additional languages will be considered valuable.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities with the capacity to work well in a team and maintain a high level of client service.
• Interpersonal Skills: An enthusiastic, career-oriented individual with the ambition to develop progressively within the firm.
• Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage time effectively.
• Self-Motivated: A proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in solving legal issues efficiently, ensuring client satisfaction.
