Role Overview

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling costs across various operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and adherence to budgetary targets. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial in identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Verification: Conduct spot checks on invoices to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Budget Variance Analysis: Review, investigate, and report on monthly cost budget variances.
• Cost of Goods Analysis: Scrutinise the monthly cost of goods, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Waste & Consumable Control: Analyse wastages and consumables costs to address any overruns promptly.
• Stock Management: Perform regular stock-takes and spot checks in different outlets, analysing variances and addressing discrepancies.
• Consumption Reporting: Close monthly consumption reports, ensuring accurate and timely information.
• Process Improvement: Proactively drive process improvements to achieve cost-efficiency goals and KPIs.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Experience: Proven experience in a similar cost control or finance role within the hospitality industry.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
