Role Overview

Join our Client's finance team as a Cost Controller, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring cost efficiency and budget compliance across our diverse range of outlets. Conducting regular analysis and implementing process improvements will be key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Spot checks upon receiving and posting of invoices:
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of invoicing processes.
• Review, investigate and explain cost budget variances on a monthly basis:
  • Analyse budget discrepancies and provide explanations for variances.
• Analysis of monthly cost of goods to identify opportunities for improvement:
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through thorough analysis.
• Analysis of monthly wastages and consumables cost for timely cost control:
  • Monitor and address cost overruns promptly.
• Perform stock-takes and spot checks in various outlets:
  • Conduct regular stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Analysis of stock variances from physical inventory counts:
  • Investigate discrepancies in stock levels to ensure accuracy.
• Closing of consumption report on a monthly basis:
  • Ensure timely completion of consumption reports.
• Drive process improvements to achieve goals and KPIs:
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance cost control processes.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Experience in a similar role:
  • Previous experience in cost control or related roles.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good organisational, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities:
  • Ability to organise tasks effectively and manage multiple priorities.
