About This Job

Salvo Grima Group is a dynamic group of companies specialising in distribution of consumer goods, duty-free travel retail and ship supply. Our Group was established in 1860 and today employs over 530 people in eight countries.

We are seeking a process-oriented Data and Process Controller to join our Ship Supply Team, and will help with the day-to-day creation, maintenance, and governance of master data across systems, ensuring accurate and timely setup of products, suppliers, and customers to support operations, reporting, and commercial execution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the upkeep of master data including the creation and updating of SKUs, customer, and supplier data etc
  • Ensure data is entered in line with standards business rules
  • Validate completeness and correctness (e.g., barcodes, pricing, categories)
  • Monitor how data impacts sales, stock, and reporting
  • Support business readiness by ensuring accurate data
  • Maintain data logs and basic documentation
  • Conduct periodic master data cleansing and de-duplication initiatives
  • Follow data rules and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and classification
  • Act as a key systems reference point for the team
  • Support cross-functional alignment on data structures, classifications, and setup requirements
  • Understand and maintain consistency of master data standards across Group entities and systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Similar experience in master data, ERP support, or similar operational roles
  • Diploma in Business, IT, or a related field is an asset
  • Fluency in English is essential; being proficient in Maltese is a strong advantage
  • Background in a fast-paced operational environment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Highly Proficient in Excel for lookups, pivots, data validation
  • Process-driven, structured, and improvement-oriented.
